Types of SidingKatchmark regularly performs installation of shingle siding, lap siding, and panel siding, using materials such as vinyl, fiber cement, wood, and aluminum. With a variety of siding available, Katchmark is ready to help you decide which application would be most beneficial to your particular project.
Katchmark installs the following siding types:
Insulated Siding combines exceptional energy efficiency and durability. Insulated Siding is laminated with custom contoured foam that insulates the entire wall - including the studs, and can save up to 20% of your energy costs.
Lap Siding offers several types of exposure widths and thicknesses. This is the most popular style of siding and comes in the widest variety of colors and styles. This is also the most affordable vinyl siding option, with several tiers of quality and expense. Your professionally trained Katchmark home consultant will arrive with the knowledge and expertise to guide you through the decision-making process.
Cedar Shakes and Shingles are designed to replicate the look of real cedar shakes and shingles, with styles including half-round shingles, rough-split shakes, and perfection shingles. This type of siding can be used to cover the whole house or to accent certain aspects of the house, such as the tops of the gables.
Styles Vinyl SidingVinyl Siding is manufactured with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a material that gives it impact resistance, rigidity and strength. Vinyl does not rot or warp like wood. It has the value-added advantage of a low total installed cost (lower than other siding materials because of its ability to be installed faster and doesn't need painting). Katchmark currently provides vinyl siding in the following types: lap siding, insulated siding, and cedar shakes and shingles.
Fiber-Cement SidingFiber-cement siding has the authentic look of real wood siding, with lower maintenance and higher longevity. Benefits include resistance to termites and fire. Fiber-cement siding does not rot, buckle or warp and holds paint for several years longer than conventional wood siding. Due to the labor intensive process of installing fiber cement, it is more costly than vinyl. We are listed on the James Hardie website as a top-installer. Katchmark currently provides fiber-cement siding in the following types: lap siding, cedar shakes and shingles.
Wood SidingMany homeowners will not substitute look-alikes for the authenticity of wood. Whether it is vertical siding like board and batten, or horizontal siding like clapboards, shakes, and shingles, Katchmark is experienced in the application of real wood siding. A good wood siding should last for many, many years when installed by experts like Katchmark, but it must also be properly maintained. Proper maintenance includes power washing, staining and sealing whenever the heat of the sun fades the finish, or moisture starts to turn to mold or mildew. If it's real wood siding you need, you can feel secure knowing that Katchmark's installation will be of unprecedented quality and appearance.
Aluminum SidingKatchmark's superior installation crews are experienced with aluminum siding as well. Katchmark has performed many large-scale installations of aluminum panel-siding for commercial applications. Although many manufacturers have stopped making aluminum siding, a few siding companies and distributors still have some styles available. Set up an appointment in order to find out if the aluminum siding you need is still available.
TrimKatchmark installs several types of trim, including vinyl composite, fiber cement, insulated, vinyl, aluminum, and PVC. Katchmark's trim installation gives your home the polished look. All of Katchmark's trim installations are maintenance-free. When installing trim capping, Katchmark will inspect the wood to make sure that its integrity is intact before covering it with the capping. Katchmark will never install capping over rotted or deteriorated wood trim.
